Rev. Mary A. Shelton, a dedicated servant of the Lord, has devoted her life to ministry and service. As a retired ordained Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, she brings a wealth of experience and wisdom to her pastoral duties. With a heart for missions, Rev. Shelton served as a missionary in Malawi for nine years, spreading the gospel and providing aid to those in need.
Prior to her retirement, Rev. Shelton served the community for 30 years through her work with the Department of Health and Human Services, embodying the principles of compassion and care in her professional endeavors.
A lifelong learner, Rev. Shelton pursued her theological education at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois, where she honed her spiritual gifts and deepened her understanding of scripture. Her commitment to learning and growth has been evident throughout her 55 years in Chicago.
Now residing in Stockton, CA, Rev. Shelton continues her ministry at Hilliard Chapel AME Zion Church, where she serves with humility and dedication. Despite her age of 73, Rev. Shelton remains active in the ministry, prioritizing self-care as she continues to serve the Lord and her community with passion and grace.
